Requirements and Standards for Registration
Registration with An Bord Altranais is mandatory in order to practise as a registered nurse or midwife in Ireland.
Your registration assures the public, your employers and your colleagues that you are accountable to the Board for meeting and maintaining the competencies and standards of the profession.
Foreign Educated Nurses :
If you are applying for registration in any Division of the Register maintained by An Bord Altranais and your Nursing training took place in a country that is not within the European Union then your application will undergo an individual assessment.
As an applicant trained in a non-European Union country English language competence is required at a level that supports communication( IELTS: Reading 6.5, Listening 6.5, Speaking 7.0, Writing 7.0 and Over all 7.0) and enables the applicant to practice nursing safely and effectively in Ireland. Therefore, proof of English language competence in cases where English is not the first language or primary language of expression of the applicant is required.
In order to be granted direct registration your training programme must meet with the educational requirements and standards of Irish trained nurses.
Overseas Nurse Registration Fees : €200.00
NB : We are at KCR Consultants offer our services to Foreign educated Nurses from completing the application form properly for assessment by An Board Atrains , arranging further course / Adaptation programme if require, to complete POST ARRIVAL SERVICES through our associate in Ireland.
Nurses registered in their home country and a with Bachelor Degree / GNM are eligible !!
