PRE REGISTRATION NURSING PROGRAM
A unique opportunity for internationally qualified nurses to undertake undergraduate nursing degree in UK. Depending on the University’s assessment this may take between 2 and 3 years to complete.
There are two entry routes; Students with a GNM diploma and valid registration with 65% Marks in Math and Science in 12th or HSC and the score of 7.0 each in all IELTS sub segments are accepted.
OR
Registered Nurses with GNM qualification with 65% Marks in English (using subject route, not IELTS route) and preferably, with 65% marks in Math and Science in 12th or HSC.
GNM nurses with Non-Science back ground in 12th or HSC also are considered subject to their personal statement and outcome of Skype interview with the University representative.
Registration; students who graduate with a local Bachelor degree that too after obtaining entry to the course through a subject route, not IELTS route, are normally, considered for registration. Had the entry been obtained through IELTS route then the graduate may be asked to provide a valid IELTS score card with not less than 7.0 in all sub segments.
OVERSEAS NURSING PROGRAMME – ONP
This course is designed for those international students who are qualified nurses (minimum of one years experience in the home country) with effective registration in the country of training. Apart from that applicants must possess IELTS with a minimum score of 7.0 in every sub segment at one sitting within the last two years.
Thos who desire to do this program in order to become Registered Nurses in UK will require a decision letter received from the Nursing and Midwifery Council –NMC, of UK. On successful completion of this program students are able to apply to register with the NMC in order to practice in the UK as a nurse.
After the recent changes announced by the UKBA in the points based migration system of UK, foreign Nurses (students) should find a qualified Tier 2 UK based sponsor to qualify for a visa under Tier 2 training, to do this program
But there is the option to complete the Overseas Nursing Program as part of the MSc / BSc program at no extra cost offered by selected UK Universities.
MSc PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE ( 1YEAR + 6 MONTHS WORK PLACEMENT )
This course offers a sound educational experience for health and social care practitioners within both home and international markets. It has a flexible structure with a choice of modules that enable students (IENs –International Educated Nurses) to make educational choices to create an individual program that supports their own professional practice.
The program has recently been revalidated and is responding to the modernization agenda of health and social care services. Module choice is designed to meet the needs of health and social care practitioners and module content and delivery is underpinned by the latest research evidence.
Students (IENs) will study for approximately two – three days each week over three terms. They will benefit from a blended learning approach consisting of lectures, tutorials, web based support, directed individual study and supervision from experienced senior lecturers. For those international students who are eligible can undertake the Overseas Nursing module as one of the subject choices.
All modules involve major assessment at the end of the third term and there may be smaller interim assessments for some of the modules. All assessments and the dissertation will relate to the students’ area of professional practice.
Entry Requirements: Degree level and IELTS requirements - average of 6.5 (minimum of 5.5 in any one category).
BSc (Hons) PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE ( NURSING ) ( 1YEAR + 6 MONTHS WORK PLACEMENT )
This post-qualification award offers career enhancement and progression by enabling students to exercise higher levels of judgment, discretion and decision making in clinical care. The award enables students to function more effectively in a multi-professional setting and is designed to accommodate nursing professionals from a range of backgrounds who want to progress their academic development.
Students can tailor their study to extend their expertise in professional practice in relation to their specific work setting/client group, and all Professional Practice modules allow them to apply theories to their own practice.
They will be able to select from an exciting range of subjects designed to enhance and extend their current knowledge. These choices will be dependent on their area of interest, their experience and the areas of nursing they wish to specialize in. For those international students who are eligible can undertake the Overseas Nursing module as one of the subject choices.
Throughout their study, they will explore a wide range of health and wellbeing issues and the degree will allow them to develop their role as a graduate practitioner.

INTERNATIONAL WORK EXPERIENCE PROGRAM
A program which is truly International, unique, and much appreciated by Employers.
This program is offered to those who are qualified with a GNM Diploma / BSc degree in Nursing or a degree in Physiotherapy or Occupational therapy, Social and Health care Workers with a diploma or degree in position and are looking forward to improve their work skills and also to gain International work experience.
This two years long program is offered under the supervision of trained tutors at a UKBA approved institutions in UK which are accredited by EDEXCEL to offer this program. It’s a study and work program and as per the current UKBA law, the program is offered at the ratio of 50:50 study and work placement.
Conveniently, it is structured as six months class room studies in the beginning (about work kills) followed by one year work placement (PAID).
The idea is to begin with work skills learning in the institution and as the program warrants, as per EDEXCLE’s program structure, arrange and offer a real work environment, for students to practice the skills learned in the class room. Since the associated partner employers offer the real work environment, it could be offered as PAID or Non-PAID work placement. All work placements are assessed placements for the maximum benefit of the students.
Students are back to the institution during the remaining six months, to do self assessments and assignments under the tutor assigned. Benefits are indentified and recognized and a BTEC qualification in work skills is, awarded to students on successful completion.
NB: Graduates who have improved their English skills may think about registering with the respective professional councils / bodies or may progress on their desired Bachelor’s / Master’s degree courses after completing the “International Work Experience Program”.
