Description :
This qualification is part of Hospitality, Tourism and Events Training Package. It provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent as a manager in any hospitality functional area. This individual would possess a sound theoretical knowledge base and be able to use a range of specialized, technical or managerial competencies to plan, carry out and evaluate their own work and/or the work of their team. Work would be undertaken in various hospitality settings, such as restaurants, hotels, catering operations, motels, clubs, pubs, cafes and coffee shops.

Core: Provide quality customer service; Manage quality customer service; Work with colleagues and customers; Work in a socially diverse environment; Deal with conflict situations; Interpret financial information; Manage finances within a budget; Prepare and monitor budgets; Develop and update legal knowledge required for business compliance; Coach others in job skills; Roster staff; Lead and manage people; Manage workplace diversity; Receive and store stock; plus more and electives.

Duration of the course
The duration of the course varies from 1- 2.5 years depending up on the course provider.

Tuition Fees
Depends up on the duration of the course and the Institution, starting from AU$12,000 – 20,000

Education and Training International

Further Study
On completion of the advanced diploma students can continue for a further 6 months into the Associate Degree in Hospitality Management at Polytechnic West followed by the final year of the Bachelor of Commerce (Management) at Murdoch University.

Alternatively students can continue into the Bachelor of Hospitality Management at Edith Cowan University with 18 months advanced standing or 12-18 months advanced standing at Curtin University of Technology and Murdoch University depending on subjects taken.

Tuition: $6,750 per semester
Resource fee: $250 per semester.
