NB: students at Government Institution will be permitted to do part time work during the academic period and full time during vacation (This is apart from the integral part of 1 year work placement )

Types of Work Placement (Paid) :

Hospitality : students with relevant experience in the hospitality sectors will take a paid placement (UK minimum wage) as part of their course.

It’s a qualifying programme under Tier 4 student visa of UKBA’s current regulations and strictly offered as per the terms and conditions of EDEXCEL, the internationally respected awarding body based in UK. The main condition of the programme, as approved by UKBA, is that 50% of the duration should be utilized for class room study and the remaining 50% for work placement offered in a real work environment.

Brooksby Melton College offers a two year long programme :

First six months in the College + 1 year at work placement + 6 months again in the College.

25 hours per week is defined as the total study hours during the academic period and the same number of hours of work placement is given to all students during work placement period.

Since BMC is a government funded college, students are entitled to do 10 hours per week part time job during the whole 2 years and full time during vacation as per the existing UKBA rule.

Brooksby Melton College is a community college and fully funded by the Government, situated in Brooksby, Leicestershire. Its 1 hour 30 minutes from London and 30 minutes from Birmingham.
