Lithuanian University of Health Sciences
LUHS is a State University of the Republic of Lithuania established in 1922 and is the largest institution providing university degrees, training and research in biomedical sciences in Lithuania. The University established here to accommodate a merger between the University of Medicine and the Veterinary Academy.
The LUHS has 7 faculties: the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Odontology, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Nursing, and Faculty of Public Health, faculty of Veterinary Medicine and faculty of Animal Husbandry Technology.
The University Hospital, 2 Animal clinics (Large Animal and small Animal) and 6 research institutes (Biomedical research, cardiology, Endocrinology, Psychophysiology and Rehabilitation, Animal Science and Veterinary medicine) complete the structure of the University.
Study programme are entirely instructed in English and designed to meet the European Union and United States (USMLE) standards with their internationally accredited exams. European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) is applied too. The University’s degrees are recognized in the countries of the European Union and many countries including India.

Where to Live
All Universities have students’ dormitories where students can have their own shared room, kitchen laundry and other facilities. The dormitories are renovated; the rooms are furnished and ready to accept students. Internet connections are available at a very low price. The price per person depends up on the type of room, additional facilities but it could be around €100 per month.
