International students from non-EU countries must apply for a student visa in Polish Embassy or Consulate first and then apply for a Temporary Residence Card 45-60 days before the visa expires, after reaching Poland. Students can stay on TRC up to a maximum period of 10 years provided the main reason of staying in Poland is for attending a full time study programme.
Poland is a member of the European Union, NATO and OECD and in the Schengen pact. For students studying in Poland and holding stay permit are allowed to move freely throughout the member state countries, without any additional visa.
