The University consists of four main campuses

The University has 4 self contained, small and friendly campuses; each with a vast array of hi-tech facilities and resources on offer to our students and staff.

  • The main campus is located right in the heart of Luton town centre
  • Bedford campus is located in Polhill Avenue.
  • Ptteridge Bury Campus is the house of 4 postgraduate courses and conference centre, located the outskirts of Luton.
  • Buckinghamshire campus - is located in the nearby town of Aylesbury

University of Bedfordshire, has been awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise : International Trade 2011, one of the most prestigious corporate honours any business can win.

Have been awarded the Gold standard in Investors in People which shows the University’s commitment to continuous business improvement and have emerged as one of the highest climbers in the independent People & Planet Green League 2011. This table studied the environmental and ethical performance of 143 universities and awarded University of Bedfordshire a 2:1.

BEDS also won the Times Higher Education Leadership and Management Award 2011 in the category Outstanding Finance Team and has achieved top marks – a ‘confidence’ rating – in the most Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) audit 2009, which checks how UK universities maintain their own academic standards and quality. And in the Government’s most UK-wide Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) 2008 much of University of Bedfordshire’s research was described as ‘world-leading’ and of ‘international significant’.

Good News : Limited Number of WORK PLACEMENT of 100 hours equivalent of 600 pounds for postgraduate students. (students would be given work placements on the campus at University of Bedfordshire for 100 hours)

To be eligible for the Work Placements:
Students must have 55% Overall in Degree. IELTS 6 Bands / TOEFL 87/Pearson English Test 59 or 55% in 12th standard in English and 50% in 10th standard in English. ( Students going on the 8/4 Weeks English Programme would not be eligible for Work Placements)

Please note: Work placements are limited and students would need to first submit their Full Tution Fees draft (Full Payment of Tution fees MSc Programme 1500 Pounds Discount and MBA 3500 Pounds Discount ) to apply for the Work Placements.

Good News: 14 of our Postgraduate Courses now have an extended duration of 18months. The Fees will be the same as the 12months courses. Students enrolling for the February 2012 intake will graduate by 30th November 2013. (Please refer to the attached list of courses)

A) MBA (General) : Students require 50% in their degree and 50% in their 10th in English and 55% in their 12th in English. Work Experience is not required. FRESHER MBA.

B) Students require an first division on their degree for MBA (IT) and MBA Hospital and Health Services Management. (Work Experience is not required.)

MBA (General) (Fresher’s MBA) is available for students who have a minimum of 50% in Degree and 55% in 12th standard in English and 50% in 10th standard in English

Entry Criteria for Admissions for MSc Computer Networking and MSc International Business and Management and the other MSc courses would be the same as MBA (General) as mentioned above

Students would require an First division for MBA (IT) and MBA Hospital and Health Services Management with 60% in 10th and 12th standard in English.

Admissions and Entry Criteria

English Requirement : Undergraduate and Postgraduate students

(English will be waived off for students as per the English criteria mentioned below, if the students do Not meet the English Criteria they would require IELTS /TOEFL/Pearson English Test)

  • Students with 5.5 Bands in IELTS or between 69-86 in TOEFL would be eligible for the 4 weeks English Course.
  • Students with 5 Bands in IELTS or between 59-68 in TOEFL would be eligible for the 8weeks English Course.
  • Students with 6 Bands in IELTS with one component score of IELTS 5 Bands will only be eligible for the 2 weeks English Course.

Please note students whose English is not waived off as per the English criteria mentioned below, Would require IELTS 6with 5.5 Bands at least or Students with TOEFL 87 would require 21 in listing /22 in Reading /23 in speaking /21 in Writing or Pearson English Test 59 (Students who have a Band lower can join the 2,4 and 8weeks English courses as per the offer letter conditions)

(Please note University of Bedfordshire accepts the Password English Test but it is not recognized by the UKBA) Students can also take the University of Bedfordshire TELAS (English Exam) at our offices.

Undergraduate Students
Admission Criteria : 55% required overall in the 10th and 12th standard. English Criteria : 60% required overall in English in 10th and 12th standard. (For Direct Entry)

Postgraduate Students
Admissions Criteria (MSc Courses) : 50% required overall in 3 or 4 years Degree from an English Medium recognized College / University.

English Criteria : students need 50% in 10th in English and 55% in 12th in English (For Direct Entry)

Nursing Students
Nursing Students require IELTS 6/Pearson English Test 59/TOEFL 87(English cannot be waived for Nursing Students.) or English Courses if Lower Bands in IELTS

MBA
MBA (General) Students need 50% in 10th and 55% in 12th in English or IELTS 6/TOEFL 87/ Pearson English Test 59 and overall 50% in Degree.(Students do not require any work Experience for MBA ( General) It is Freshers MBA )

FRESHERS MBA :
MBA(IT) and MBA (Hospital and Health Services Management ). Students need a First Class Degrees and 60% in 10th and 12th in English or IELTS 6/ TOEFL 87/ Pearson English Test 59. (Students do not require any work experience.
