France as an important higher education destination in Europe

  • France is considered as the largest nation in Western Europe and known to the world for its cultural heritage. Among the European nations it is an active member and participated in the formation of UN, UN Security Council, European Union, G8 and the Latin union.
  • France is a highly modern country with its 75% of the people living in the cities. Geographically, France lies in a very unique position sharing the borders with the countries of Spain, Italy, Belgium and Luxembourg.
  • France is a 3rd leading host country for higher education. France has nearly 400 internationally renowned educational institutions for higher education and research that provides diplomas, degrees, and certificates having international recognition. The tuition fees ranges from €150 to €400 depending on the university and the level of education in French as the medium of instruction. Add to this subsidized student restaurants, cheap public transport, subsidized accommodation.
  • France also hosts various branch colleges of foreign universities. These include Baruch College, the University of London Institute in Paris, Parsons Paris School of Art and Design and the American University of Paris.

Chambéry is very close to Lyon (France), Geneva (Switzerland) and Turin (Italy) and 400km away from Paris.The whole region (state) name is Rhône-Alpes, Rhône is the main river of this region and “Alpes” are the mountain chains (Alps), the largest in the whole Europe. The capital city of the region (state) is Lyon. Rhône-Alpes is the second economic region (state) in France, after Ille de France (Paris). Rhône-Alpes is the best region in Europe for startup companies.

The small department (district) name is Savoie (Savoy in English). The capital of this department (district) is Chambery. In the history this region (state) conducted 2 times world winter Olympics and 2 times world canoeing and kayaking championship. Behind the school you can see the largest natural lake in France ’Lac du Bourget’. The region is very beautiful and livable, thanks to its fresh climate and richness in tourist’s attractions. Chambery is famous for being a ski resort, with all the several activities and facilities related to this sport.

The international programs in the English track will start in the first week of October every year. For M1 & M2 classes are only on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 08.15 AM to 04.45 PM. Saturday, Sunday, Monday are off for them.

International students are permitted to work for 964 Hours per year. Students normally earn 10€/hour minimum while working part time. Attendance in classes is mandatory.

New intake classes will start in the fall first week of October 2018. From October to December is the first trimester, at the end of December is the exams period, then 2-week holidays for Christmas and New Year.

Second trimester starts in January (second week) for until the end of March and then the exams again.From the 1st week of April until September students of M2 are supposed to do an internship or Master thesis (minimum 5 months), for students of M1 3 months only are required.

At the end of September, a presentation regarding the internship is required too and after that comes the Master project thesis.

Business conferences, business meetings and leisure trips with transportation and food are included in the tuition fees.There is no need to buy textbooks, we will provide 500 Xerox copies card for every student.

Students can do their internship all over the world. The minimum salary for an internship in France is 502€ per month, and then the student can negotiate with employer.

  1. 1 year Bachelor in International Trade and BBM 3rd year: 2 years of university education are required.
  2. MSc. (M1):  A 3 years of university education required
  3. MSc. (M2 ): A 4 years of university education required
  4. MBA: A  3 years of university education and minimum 2 years of work experience in any industry are required;
