B. E. ENGINEERING PEDAGOGY IN GERMANY

We abundantly need skilled people in teaching. Many do not know that teaching staff in vocational schools is in great demand.

The vocational teacher will train future artisans in technical areas like physics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and mechatronics.

An engineering degree is required before taking the teacher state examination. Rather than just theoretical knowledge, the teacher will impart practical expertise to the pupils.

Students will study all the technical basics, including electrical, physics, engineering, and construction. You have the choice to choose the subject that you wish to teach.

Adding to mechanical engineering, the student should choose another subject between physics and electrical engineering.

B.E. Engineering Pedagogy in Germany runs for six semesters (beginning in the winter) where the language is German and a full-time course.

Students will gain pedagogical knowledge and teaching experience each semester during those three years.

After completing the bachelor’s degree, graduates must complete one and a half years of preparatory service before working as a teacher. This is called a traineeship. You can already become a civil servant if you are below 42 years.

Since the graduates are skilled in engineering studies and pedagogy, they can become confident vocational school teachers with technical knowledge.

If the graduate does not wish to become a teacher, they can pursue a master’s degree in the same field or switch straight into an industry with their bachelor’s degree. There will be an extra benefit if you take responsibility for teaching the trainees of that company or industry.
