NEET 2025 Result Date

NEET 2025 Result Date: What to Expect and What to Do Next

The NEET 2025 exam was conducted on 4 May 2025. Over 20 lakh students from all across India appeared for the test this year. Now, students and parents are eagerly awaiting the results. For many, this is a life-changing moment.

When Will the NEET 2025 Result Be Announced?

The official announcement from NTA- the National Testing Agency, says that the NEET 2025 result date could be declared on 14 June 2025. However, this date can change. In the past, NTA has sometimes released results earlier than expected.

For example, in 2024, the result was out on 4 June, even though the expected NEET result date 2025 was 14 June. Therefore, it's a good idea to regularly check the official website: neet.nta.nic.in. You should also keep your application number and password ready.

How to Check the NEET 2025 Result?

The result will be released online. Here's how you can check it:

  1. Go to the NTA NEET website.

  2. Click on the "NEET UG 2025 Result" button.

  3. Enter your number (application) and password or date of birth.

  4. Enter the security code and click submit.

  5. Your result will appear.

  6. Download the scorecard and save it for future use.

The scorecard will show your marks, percentile score, and your All India Rank (AIR). It will also show whether you have qualified or not.

What Happens After the Result?

If you pass NEET 2025, congratulations! You are now eligible to apply for MBBS, BDS, and other medical courses. The next step is counselling. There are different types of counselling:

  • All India Quota (AIQ) conducted by MCC (Medical Counselling Committee).

  • Individual states do state Quota counselling.

  • Private and Deemed Universities conduct their counselling.

Be sure to register for the right counselling sessions based on your category and rank. Counselling usually begins 1–2 weeks after the result is declared.

What Is the NEET 2025 Cutoff?

The cutoff mark is the minimum score needed to qualify for NEET. It changes every year depending on the difficulty of the paper and the number of students.
The cutoff is different for each category:

  • General

  • OBC

  • SC/ST

  • EWS

  • PwD (Persons with Disability)

If you meet the cutoff, you are eligible to take part in the counselling process. However, remember that merely passing the cutoff doesn't guarantee a seat in a government college. Seats in top colleges are awarded to students with exceptionally high ranks.

What If Your Score Is Low or You Didn't Pass?

If your score is low or you did not pass the exam, you may feel sad or confused. It's okay to feel this way. But remember: this is not the end of your journey. One exam cannot define your life. There are many paths to becoming a doctor. One of the best alternatives is to study medicine abroad, especially in countries in the European Union (EU).

Study Medicine Abroad Without NEET

Many students in India are unaware that it is possible to study medicine in EU countries without passing the NEET exam with a low score. These countries offer high-quality education, and many universities accept students based solely on their academic records.
Countries like:

  • Germany

  • Latvia

  • Lithuania

  • Romania

  • Bulgaria

  • Hungary

  • Slovakia

These countries have well-established medical universities. Most of them teach in English. A medical degree offered by these universities is recognised across the EU.

Why Choose an EU Country for MBBS?

There are many good reasons:

  • No or low NEET score accepted: Just your 12th-grade marks are enough.

  • Global recognition: A medical degree from an EU country is accepted throughout Europe.

  • Direct license: You can register to practice medicine without needing an additional internship.

  • Postgraduate training: After a year or two of work, you can specialise in your field of choice.

  • No tuition fees for postgraduate medical training: In many EU countries, postgraduate medical training is free.

  • High-quality education: These countries offer world-class facilities and training.

  • Cultural exposure: You will gain international experience and make global connections.

What Are the Requirements?

Most universities in the EU require:

  • Good marks in Class 12, especially in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

  • A valid passport.

  • Proof of English language ability (some ask for IELTS or similar tests).

  • A motivational letter, and sometimes an interview.

At KCR CONSULTANTS, we help students with every step—from choosing the right university to getting admission, visa processing, and settling abroad.

Is It Safe to Study in the EU?

Yes, very safe. EU countries are known for being secure, student-friendly, and well-regulated. Students from India have been going there for years. Most cities have Indian communities, and you can even find Indian food and festivals.

What About After Graduation?

After completing your MBBS, you can:

  • Start working as a doctor in the EU.

  • Apply for postgraduate medical training in the same country or another EU nation.

  • Return to India and take the screening test (a pass in the NEET test is mandatory) to register with the National Medical Commission/Medical Council of India.

  • Consider relocating to countries such as the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, or Australia to pursue a practice or specialisation.

A degree from an EU university opens doors globally.

Stay Calm and Look Ahead

Waiting for results is tough. It brings anxiety, fear, and a lot of stress. But no matter what the result is, your dream to become a doctor does not have to end.

If you succeed—great! Move ahead with confidence.

If you don't, don't blame yourself. Don't feel ashamed. Many brilliant doctors today didn't pass NEET on their first try. Others chose to study abroad and built impressive careers.

Success is not about one exam. It's about the journey you take after it.
